WINDOWS MEDIA AND QUICKTIME VIDEO CLIPS

These clips are low-resolution, to allow even modem-connected users to access them.  Most are 1Mb or smaller. They are provided in both Windows Media and Quicktime formats, so that those who don't use Internet Explorer can still view the clips. At some point I may post higher resolution clips for broadband-connected users.

If the Quicktime clips won't play for you, you may need to re-install Quicktime using the iTunesSetup.exe file, even if your Quicktime says it is up-to-date.

Besides the Windows Media Player and QuickTime, we also recommend VLC Media Client, an OpenSource player that plays many formats and is available for PC, Mac, Linux, etc., get it here

HG Bharadvaj relates: "...1985, shots from a full-length documentary film in the USSR "Is it easy to be young", 1986, the Riga film studio, Latvian director is Jury Podnieksa. This film is about Latvia bhaktas on Janmashtami 1985.  Interview gives Riga bhakta Upananda Prabhu, Bharadvaj's secretary of that time. Bharadvaj sings, plays karatalas and offers a candlestick to an altar.    This film was very popular during "Perestroyka". It has shown for the first time on all country different groups of youth - as they are in the USSR. It was first incomprehensible 5 minute advertising at cinema across the USSR of Prabhupada's missions through Riga bhaktas. We risked very much acting in film and advertising our Hare Krishna Riga community. In fact it was criminal, and it had been already sat up to 50 bhaktas in prisons that time. But mystically we weren't judged. Though for distribution of books I was sat in psychiatric hospital in that 1986 and the following 1987."
